30 days: Day 1

Kennet replaced my old Nikon Coolpix with a new Canon A720 yesterday from Glazers. It was a nice experience all around walking to an actual camera store and talking to a real person before picking out this one. It turned out to be a sunny day and we stopped in the Cascade P-patch on the way home which was full of tulips and people's herbs.

I'm committing to 30 pictures in 30 days to reintroduce myself to taking photos. I used to do a lot of photography, starting with my Pentax K1000 that my dad bought me in high school (Kennet and I still have our twin K1000s). I more or less gave it up when Kennet and I starting dating because he puts considerably more effort into it than I do. When my old friend Rachel noticed on our Grand Canyon trip that I wasn't taking many photos - the fact that she noticed and commented on it --I felt like I was missing out on something. So K surprised me with the idea and here we are.

Here is day 1. I chose it because it represents a lot in my life right now. New shoes, meditation, a 10K, and a knee that doesn't hurt.
