Moved
We finally can see out from under all the boxes. Lots of projects are underway around here- the painting, sewing window shades for all of our narrow windows, and lots and lots of using a drill. It was an experience, getting started, and has so far turned out ok. I have to wait for daylight to go away as they are not photographing very well.
I've never really used a drill before so that has been fun to learn how to choose a bit, drill a pilot hole, put in anchors, try to get out misplaced anchors, etc. The folks who sold the condo did quite a bit of work before they left and some of it is great and some makes no sense at all. So we've been doing things like repainting the baby poop gold bedroom a light blue (before and after photos to come) and moving towel rods from inappropriate locations.
I hung some nice ikea shelves in the craft room to house some boxes and Kennet and his Dad made us some fabulous beautiful shelves for the closet in the kitchen, which was a coat closet but is now a much needed pantry.
Behold. All of this stuff was on the floor until about 10 minutes ago.
I also got a great craigslist find- this Danish Modern chair. It's been well loved, but I think it will be a fun project when I get to it in about six months.

Pocket Park

It looks like we're moving at the end of the month just around the corner from this tree. I had read about it a while ago, but I don't think I realized that it was considered a city park of .02 acres. I wonder if that's the world's smallest park.
We've been having a lot of fun reading this blog- someone actually has enough time to listen to the police scanner and blog about it on a regular basis? It's pretty fascinating to see what all the crazies are up to.

In near record time
After a big trip, it takes me a while before I'm really ready to clean up the photos and prepare them for sharing. I need to see each photo about eight times before I can come to any sort of conclusion about what I think about them.
The Picasa Album for the Grand Canyon exists. That's a start. It even has some photos in it now: even better. Someday it will have even more.
Behold.

Day 3892
Well I fell off the bandwagon (or just the wagon?) obviously but I have pictures to prove that I've been busy. Still loving the new camera even though it seems to have more of a delay that I thought it did originally.
Here is some evidence of the busy-ness:
10K Trail Run, my first race since 9th grade
I didn't place, but I did win socks!

Day 4
Today we kicked off a bed for staff in the garden. I found this sign, meant to direct kids to taste things.
